Why We Built This Site
New Mexico gives the public broad access to many court and government records, but Lea County record access is split by office and record type. District Court in Lovington keeps general-jurisdiction case files. Magistrate Courts in Hobbs, Lovington, and Eunice keep limited-jurisdiction criminal, civil, traffic, and landlord-tenant records. Municipal courts keep city ordinance and local traffic matters. The County Clerk keeps land records, oil and gas leases, marriage records, commission records, election records, and probate records executed by the County Probate Judge.
